TIU Signs MoU with the University of Lahore

Shayan: Tishk International University (TIU), represented by Prof. Dr. Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad, the President of TIU, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Wasfi Kahwachi, Director of Research Centre, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Jaafer Hussein, Director of the International Relations Office, held a virtual meeting with the University of Lahore, Pakistan, represented by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, the Rector, Mr. Ali Asalam, Registrar, Mr. Syed Faizan Hader, Director of Quality Enhancement Cell, and Mr. Muhammad Saad Zafar, Manager Quality Enhancement Cell, on April 11th 2023, at 11:00 Erbil time.

The University of Lahore is the largest private-sector university in Pakistan, with more than 35,000 students. It was established in 1999, and since then, it has been offering courses in the fields of Medicine & Dentistry, Engineering, Arts, Sciences, and Social Sciences. With a strong emphasis on balanced progress and a focus on human capital, the university has grown to 11 faculties and 45+ departments.

With the aim of cooperation in education and research areas of mutual interest and encouraging direct contact and cooperation between faculty members, departments, research institutions, and students, both universities (TIU and UOL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 11th, 2023, at 10:00 Erbil Time.

During the meeting, the key officials of both institutions presented their universities and significant achievements. The mechanism of the MoU implementation and different areas of collaboration were also discussed.Both parties confirmed the importance of having opportunities for further mutual approaches to promote academic, cultural, and scientific collaboration in the future.
